BBQ Shrimp
This is one of my family's favorites!
Makes 6 to 8 servings
Prep: 5 min, Bake: 35 min
4 lbs unpeeled, shrimp ( I use the 25 count ) 4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 lemons, cut into wedges 3 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning
2 bay leaves 1 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 cup butter, melted 1 tsp dried thyme
1 cup ketchup Loaf of French Bread
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1. Place shrimp in a 13 x 9 inch pan; top with lemon wedges and bay leaves.
2. Stir together butter and next 6 ingredients. Pour over the shrimp.
3. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 35 min. or until shrimp are pink, stirring every 10 minutes. Discard
bay leaves. Serve with bread, lemon wedges and a salad!
I serve this on a big platter at the table with extra bowls to put your shimp shells in and lot's of napkins!! The bread is great dipped in the sauce.
ReplyDeleteChris (my son) invited a friend to join us for dinner one night and he took a bite and said that it was good but a little crunchy! My son then proceeded to suggest that he take the shell off the shrimp! lol Gotta love Chris' friends!! Never a dull moment in the Powers' house!
Well fancy that, your own blog. I LOVE it. Can't wait to try all the yummy stuff.

ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks JoAnn!
ReplyDeleteThat's my wife!
ReplyDeleteMade the BBQ Shrimp last night. I had 2 lbs of peeled shrimp so cut the sauce in half and only cooked it for 15 minutes - turned out delicious! Mahalo! I am thinking of making a jambalaya dish with the leftover shrimp - should be good.
